This week we did so many new and cool things. One of those things was that we all learned all about motion. When mr. s was walkinig with the ball in his hand, he doesnt think that the ball is moved because it never went out of his sight but when he was moving meaning so was the ball. Motion is Relative- something is being compared to something else. We also learned about what is better to know nort south east and west or left and right. The answer can be both beacuse it depends wht you are doing. If you are on a hike and need directions you should use North South East and West. But if you are drinving in a car and you are ost then you should know right and dleft is better to know. This week we also cut cow eyes open. It was gross at first but then after the gross part was over it was kind of cool. We saw the lense and the cornia and more things. We also did an experiment with a car and out hypothesize was that we think that the car will stay at the same speed. Our test was when we did our test it worked and we were right.

This week we did many things. One of those things would be learning what a "Normal line" is. A "Normal line" is a perpendicular to when the line of light meets. We also made our own rubrics on Ray diagrams and Wave diagrams. Then we had four pictures on the smart board and we had to tell what's wrong with each of then if anything was wrong. Then we learned about the angles. Which would be called : Angle os Refraction and Angle of Incedence. And after that we labled it on our drawing. We learned that when light hits a surface it sometimes reflects and sometimes refracts. It depends on the surface. We also learned about the human eye and how it works. There is the pupil and the lens and the cornia. We also learned about the Behavior of light and how light travels and what an element is and things about Nature of light. We also did this carnaval which was 6 ares and each one had a piece of paper that had something we had to solve. We got to work with our tables so it was kind of fun. And we also learned about how what would happen to a light if it hits air then glass, water, and then more air.

This week in science we put a green plastic ruler in a clear glass of water and wrote what we saw. What i wrote down was that when the ruler is ini the clear glass cup that is filled with water, the ruler gets larger in size. also when you put the ruler in the cup the water gets higher in the cup because it takes up a lot of room. Also since the glass cup is wide it makes the ruler look wide and longer then it really is. One of the diagrams is the light goes in all diffrent directions. This is because the glass didn't light up. Also when you put a ruler in a bucket which is clear the part that is in the water, its being destprted because the light but when the water hits the ruler the image is changed. That means its larger and wider.
This week we also learned about particles and waves. one thing they have inn common is that they both reflect things.
Well when you take a cup of water and point a laser at it some of the light will bounce off and some will just go through. We also learned about how light doesn't have any mass so it can't go all the way to the bottom of a cup. We learned about the wave model of light and the particle model of light.

9/28/09 to 10/2/09

This week we split up into groups and out hypothsis was diffrent refletctivity on diffrent objects. we did the tests on a wall, paper, cloth, metal, wood, water, glass, and a mirror. Our prediction was that we thought that it will reflect off transparent objects and not opaque objects. our results were
wall: 5 for brightness 5 for size 0 for reflected it was small when close and big when far
paper: 5 for brightness 3 for size 0 for reflected
cloth: 5 for brightness 3 for size 0 for reflected
wood: 5 for brightness 4 for size 2 and a half for reflected
glass: 4 for brightness 2 for size 5 for reflected
water: 5 for brightness and 3 for size and 0 for reflected
mirror: 5 for brightness 4 for size and 5 for reflected
metal: 4 for brightness and 5 for size and 5 for reflected
We also learned about angle of incidence and angle of reflection.
we learned what an analogy was and how to use them with science.
