This week we learned about different types of energy transfers. The types of energy's we learned about are the following:
kinetic energy- energy that is when movement is accellerating.
elastic potential energy- energy that is when elastic is being stretched.
internal energy- energy when something is at it's highest point.
gravitational potential energy- energy when it's at it's lowest point.

I don't think there was any more. To transfer the energy, you would need an experiment to do this. As an example, the one with the elephant on the trampoline. The types of energy used in this are kinetic energy because the elephant was falling onto the trampoline after being at his highest point. Also elastic potential energy because the trampoline has elastic and when the elephant hits it after being at it's highest point it goes all the way back dow. And lastly internal energy because the elephant got to it's highest point when he went all the way up in the air, and finally, gravitational potential energy because the elephant reached it's lowest point when landing on the trampoline after coming down from it's highest point.

Well, first thing we are changing the format of out blogs. Now this is what we have to do: +Imagine that you can travel back in time and talk to yourself about one of the concepts below. What would you tell yourself about the concepts that who make it easier to learn.* Comparing and Contrasting Inner/Outer Planets* Characteristics of the moon* Causes for planetary Orbits* Comparisons of Comets/Meteors and Meteorites+ What experiment was helpful/might be helpful in constructing this concept.+ Include a representation (picture, video, music, etc).Comparing and Contrasting Inner/Outer Planets- The inner planets are mecury, venus, earth and mars- The inner planets are the planets that are inside the milky way - The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune- Dwarf planets are like regular planets they are just not massive enough to round their own gravity.
Okay now that that is done i am going to tell you that you are going to be taking alot of notes this week. And they will come in handy when we are doing our experements about that moon and its speed and mass. Working in group will really help you in this project. If i was going to tell you one good secret about the week you will hav its that the causes for planetary Orbits is is that the less massive planet circles (orbits) around the more massive object.

This week we did a bunch of new things. One of the things that we learned this week was whh we have seasons. Wel the answer to this question is hard but basicly its because the earth has an axis and the earth is on a tilt the sun hits the tilted axis creating the seasons. We also watched a short film about people who went to harvard for collage who didnt not know the answer to this question. Most of them said that the earth gets closer to the sun creating the seasons. Like if hte sun is close its spring and summer and when its far away its like winter and fall. I personaly was shocked that people who went to such a great collage didnt know the answer to the question. I thought that each and every one whould know why we have seasons but none of knew! Things like this are important to life because anyone can be interviewd and kids will most likley see and they think that they are smarter then other people .

This is the first time blogging since we were away. We have done so many new things! We are in astronamy now and learning about the moon. There are eight diffrent shapes of the moon. The first is called a full moon then its waning gibbous then third quarter then comes the waning cresent and then the new moon then waxing cresent then first quarter then waxing gibbous. And each one has its own shape and its all because of the sun and the earth. They both are two very important things in this prosess. It takes about 28 days and 11 hours fot a whole cycle. The moon moves counterclockwise and so does the earth. This is very important info. And a note is that you can NOT see a full moon during the day time. The earth, moon, and sun all move the moon revolves around the earth and th earth just rotates and the sun also revolves like the moon.
